Ledger hardware wallets offer top-tier security, providing you with full control over your crypto assets. From here, we’ll explain how to unbox, connect, and configure your Ledger wallet, as well as how to add your cryptocurrencies and manage your funds securely.

Step 1: Unboxing Your Ledger® Device

When you open the box, you should find the following items:

• The Ledger hardware wallet device
• A USB cable to connect the device to your computer
• Recovery phrase cards for securing your recovery seed
• A quick-start guide

It's vital to store your recovery phrase securely. This 24-word phrase will allow you to recover your wallet if your device is lost or damaged. Write it down and keep it in a secure, offline location, away from any digital backups.

Step 2: Connecting Your Ledger Device

Now that you’ve unboxed your Ledger, it’s time to connect it to your computer. Plug the device into your computer using the USB cable, and visit Ledger.com/Start® to begin the setup process.

Ensure that you are using a secure, trusted internet connection and a reputable browser to access the official Ledger website. This will help prevent potential phishing or malware threats.

Step 3: Initializing Your Ledger Device

Once you’ve connected your Ledger to your computer, the device will prompt you to choose a PIN code. This PIN is essential for securing your wallet. Choose a strong PIN that you can remember, and never share it with anyone.

After selecting your PIN, you will be asked to write down your recovery phrase. This 24-word phrase is the backup to restore your wallet in case of loss or damage. Ensure you write it down in the exact order and store it in a secure, offline location.

Your Ledger wallet is now initialized and ready for use. You can use Ledger Live to add cryptocurrencies, send and receive funds, and perform other wallet functions.

Step 4: Adding Cryptocurrency Accounts
